Who is Michael D. Irizarry?
Well I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 3, 1975. I’ve been involved in the web software industry for more than 10 years and have been involved in the development of more than 200 websites ranging from 500 fortune companies to small businesses. I started studying accounting in 1993 that’s when I started to enjoy being in front of computers shortly after I decided to change my major to computer science.
In 1996 I started my own company called Wave Rebel Designs which was a success in its own right developing small websites for small businesses located mainly in the metro area. In 1998 I joined Softek, Inc. Puerto Rico’s biggest software development firm where I had the role of Web and Multimedia Developer.
On 2000 I moved on and started Sixth Light Studios with 3 more partners, the company was a huge success for its first year and then crashed short after the Y2K bug fiasco started.
In 2002 I joined e-Nabler Corporation where I was the software development director and manager.
In 2006 I joined Wovenware, Inc short after working as a freelancer. Later in 2008 joined El Nuevo Día, Inc. as Web Developer Senior and Web 2.0 Front End Engineer. I specialize in application architecture, design and development and I focus on Usability, User Interfaces, Flash Technology, User Interaction, Web Usability, Web 2.0, Multi-Tier, Windows Mobile Applications, and Client-Server Applications.
